The stage play everyone has been talking about will be back this weekend. Yes, we are talking about “Loving Mr. Wrong”. It’s a story about a dysfunctional marriage by Memphis playwright Brandon McMillon.
Tammy Daniels is trapped in a loveless marriage with a husband(Clinton White) whom she thought was the man of her dreams. Her husband’s verbally abusive words cut into her heart like a knife, but things start to change when she meets Kevin James (Jay Marion). Tammy is torn between her love and commitment to her husband and a man that gives her all the love and attention she so truly desires in her marriage. Could she be falling in love with Mr. Wrong? Find out in the hit stage play, “Loving Mr. Wrong” at the Buckman Performing Arts Center.
Keep in mind, this production isn’t all dramatic. There are also some humorous scenes by comedian Bryan “Moufpiece” Hannah who plays Kevin James’ air condition repairman co-worker. R&B artist Prince DJae plays the adult male child next door neighbor that still lives with his mother. The two of them together on stage brings some serious comic relief. Actor Jalen Moffitt, plays the campaign assistant to Mr. Daniels.
If you missed last month production, don’t worry. “Loving Mr. Wrong” encore performance is at 6PM Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the Buckman Performing Arts Center. Don’t miss out because tickets are going fast. Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite – Loving Mr. Wrong.
McMillon has also written and produced the stage plays “Here Come The Jackson” in 2015 followed by “These 4 Walls” in 2016. Along with performing in the Memphis area, he has also taken his productions to other cities.
